HDF-Core Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring built around a high-density fibreboard (HDF) core, with a printed decorative layer, protective overlay and balancing backing. The design reproduces wood grain and color rather than using a solid wood face. Select the surface texture and plank format alongside the product’s core, wear and installation specification.

Minimum order: one 20-foot container. Mix up to 3 colors in one size.

Laminate construction

A typical laminate floor has a transparent wear-resistant surface above a decorative layer, an HDF core and a backing that balances the board. A printed wood design is different from a real wood veneer, so the surface material should be stated clearly. Thickness, core specification and locking profile are separate from color and texture.

Wear, moisture & installation

Request the abrasion rating and intended use class for the selected product, together with moisture-resistance data where relevant. An HDF core does not automatically make a floor suitable for wet areas. Underlay, substrate preparation, edge protection and joint design are part of the flooring system and should be reviewed with its installation instructions.

Plan your specification.
